RR DONNELLY FOUNDER'S CUP PDF Print E-mail

What an amazing week at the RR Donnelley Founders Cup for Girls Golf! Members, Abby Cantwell and Haley Sauls kicked off the event representing LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix at media day alongside founder Marilynn Smith, hall-of-famer Betsy King and tour pro Amanda Blumenhurst.  One of our members was a caddie on pro-am day for Mike Whan, LPGA Commissioner and Shirley Spork who is one of our spirited LPGA Founders. We had “tee greeters” and “flag girls” on Saturday during play…an inside the ropes experience these girls will not soon forget…one of the LPGA players gave one lucky tee girl her dog head cover right off her driver!!

If anyone saw the Golf Channel coverage on Friday, Izzy Cantwell was featured in the Golf Channel booth and additionally got to be a roving interviewer on Saturday morning prior to play on the driving range.

Finally, as you can see below after a long day of rain delays and an amazing Yani Tseng victory, four of our girls received the check with Commissioner Whan for the $500,000 that was donated to Girls Golf from RR Donnelley!

Our program is so lucky to be connected to a tour that has such engaging athletes who really want to leave the game better than when they arrived! Please send a thank you note to RR Donnelley for their generous contribution. It is amazing what a hand written note from our members can do.  We would love to have them decide to do this again.

Here is the address:

 RR Donnelley

99 Park Ave.

New York, NY 10016

You can disperse the thank you notes to the following people:

 Tom Quinlan- CEO

John Paloian- COO

George Zengo- Chief Sales Officer

Rick Ryan- VP of Marketing
